If you’re looking for preschool activities, you’re in the right place! I am so passionate about teaching children, especially during the early years.
The preschool years are a wonderful time of developing and learning for children. The human brain develops most rapidly between birth and age 5, making the preschool years a crucial part of a child’s education.
Preschoolers learn about the world through play. They spend time lots of time playing with others and developing thoughts and language.
During the preschool years, these skills are learned:
- alphabet recognition
- letter sounds
- learning to write
- print concepts
- fine motor skills
- gross motor skills
- counting
- number sense
- following directions
- playing with others
And much more! I love to use sensory play activities with my children. I believe that ALL children can benefit from sensory play.
Preschool activities should be fun, hands-on, and engaging. It doesn’t take a lot to set up activities that kids will love and will help your child learn. Some of my favorite supplies are simple, such as painter’s tape, contact paper, and pom poms!
We have done a ton of preschool activities over the years! One of my greatest joys was doing home preschool with my little ones. I just love being my child’s first teacher!

I absolutely love coming up with preschool activities, so I’ll keep adding ideas to this list!
