Desert Animal Printables

by Angela Thayer 3 Comments

As we continue to learn about the desert, I made some printables to use with this unit. I will be sharing 3 printables with you today.

1. Desert Animals Matching Game

Desert Animals Matching Game

For this game, just print the printable, cut out the cards, and the turn them face-down. Next, take turns flipping two cards over to see if they match. If they do, keep them in a pile. If they do not, flip them back over. The person with the most matches wins.

2. Patterns with Desert Animals

Patterns with Desert Animals (free printable)

You will need the matching game cards (from above) for this game. Have your child practice patterns with this activity. They will use the AB pattern (example: turtle, iguana, turtle, iguana).

3. Counting Desert Animals

Desert Count and Clip Cards (printables)

These counting cards are for practicing counting numbers 1-10. Simply print the printable, cut out the cards, have your child count the desert animals or plants, then place a small clothespin on the correct number.

Desert Counting Cards (free printable) This is a great activity for counting practice as well as fine motor skills. It is not always easy to use a clothespin for little ones!

Hope you enjoy these printables! The clip art is designed by Scrappin Doodles.
