The Best Preschool Clock

by Angela Thayer 116 Comments

Did you know there is a clock that is specifically made for preschoolers? Preschool Collection has created a really neat clock that introduces little ones to clocks and helps teach the concept of time.

This particular clock is made by Preschool Collection and instead of using numbers, it uses colors and animals.

preschool clock from preschool collective

We were first introduced to Preschool Collection in 2018 and have had our clock hanging in our house ever since!

Using this adorable clock gives children a sense of control of time. In this system, colors are for hours and animals are for minutes. For example, if they are having a hard time sharing a toy, you could tell them, “When the big hand gets to the frog, then you can play with the toy truck.”

Preschoolers don’t always understand the concept of time. When you say “just five more minutes,” they can’t always grasp what that means. This clock gives them something to help understand time.

The clock is great for a classroom or in the home. Check out more here.

Preschool Collection also has watches! These would be great for gifts. We have the dinosaur one and it’s adorable, durable, and my preschooler loved it!

There are 6 designs to choose from. How cute are they?!

They also now have analog watches for older kids. These are great for kids ages 5 and older.

Their time learning method is really simple. Once a child knows their colors and animals, they can use these products! I love that they are learning concepts of time without numbers, but by using play!

For two days only, you can enter to win an adorable watch! Preschool Collection has generously donated a watch for this giveaway. So fun!

Make sure to check out all Preschool Collection has to offer on their website.

These are really cool! I know a few kiddos on my caseload that would LOVE the dinosaur watch, and I have a classroom which would benefit from having the farm animal clock. Many of the children in that class need visual schedules, so being able to match activities to the times/animals on the clock would be a HUGE benefit!

I have a classroom of seven K-2 grade students with autism. Only two of these students recognize any numbers. This clock would be a great asset to help them become more independent and be able to recognize when the time limit was up. We use many timers in this classroom to help students learn when they have earned a reinforcement. This clock would work great to help them with time as well as help teach them different animals.
