Digital Alphabet Clip Cards

by Angela Thayer 6 Comments

Learning the alphabet is foundational for reading and writing. While some kids learn letters very quickly, others need more repetition and time to learn letters. There are so many hands-on ways to teach the alphabet! During this time of school closure, I wanted to provide an easy activity for your kids to practice identifying beginning letter sounds in words.

I created these digital alphabet clip cards for preschoolers and kindergarteners. The best part is you don’t have to print anything! I know not everyone has a printer, so these digital alphabet cards are a good option!

There are 13 slides in this file. The child will look at the picture, listen to the beginning sound, then click on the digital clothespin, and drag it to the letter. There are two pictures per page.

You can use these free Google Slides if you have the Internet and a Google account. If you are a teacher, you can assign this activity in your Google Classroom. I’ve also made this activity in Seesaw.

If you’re new to Google Classroom and digital activities, this video will be helpful to watch.

I also made this activity a printable. So if you are wanting to print the cards and have your kids clip the beginning letter with a clothespin, you can do that, too! Using clothespins is a great way to work on fine motor skills.

If you’d like to download the digital and printable activity, just click below.

There is a link in the PDF that takes you to the activity in Seesaw. The link for the PDF is in this post. Let me know if that doesn’t work!

Did you open the Seesaw link, not the Google Drive link?
