The last day of school is almost here! If you’re like me, you have mixed emotions…you are excited for summer but will also miss the teachers and students. If you’re looking for an adorable FREE last day of school sign to print, I’ve got you covered!
Importance of Last Day Signs
Just like taking first day of school pictures, the last day of school picture is equally important! It’s always amazing to see the differences between the two pictures. So many changes happen during the school year and it’s fun to capture on camera. Using a last day sign is a great prop for your picure.
Here’s why I think last day signs are important:
- shows memories of the last day
- it’s a cherished family tradition
- you can compare it with the first day picture and see your child’s growth
- it captures how your child changes over the years
Ideas for Last Day Signs
Before the kids head off to their last day, snap a quick photo of them holding the sign! (Also to be honest, I’ve also done this after school if the last morning is too hectic!)
I don’t want capturing the perfect photo of your child to be stressful, so here are some photo tips to help you capture memorable and meaningful images:
- Take photos outside! I usually do this by my planters so you can see my flowers. Taking photos outside with natural light helps with the photo quality!
- Make sure the sign is clear and readable. You’ll want them to just hold the sides of the printable. If it’s easier, you can place the printable in a frame!
- Experiment with different angles. Usually most photos are taken with the child holding the sign in front of them at chest level, but you can also try overhead shots or close-ups focusing on the sign itself.
- Add in some items related to school, such as a backpack, lunchbox, or favorite school supplies. These can add context and show off your child’s personality.
- If your child has siblings, make sure to snap a photo with them together!
