I love the new year. There’s a sense of fresh beginnings and change in the air. I love this time of goal making and reflection. I’m not really one to make new years resolutions, but I love reflecting on the past year and think about changes I want to make in the new year. This year I’m choosing 1 word to focus on and 1 verse. My word for the year is TRUST. I want to trust God more for every single detail of my life. I want to spend less time worrying and more time resting in God’s perfect plan. I want to embrace this verse:
He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes. -Psalm 112:7-8
I hate spending time worrying or in fear. Too many times I get wrapped up in my thoughts of “what if…” I want to change that in 2015! Yes, there may be hard situations in 2015, but I want to have an attitude of unwavering trust. What’s your word for 2015? What are your goals?
Have a Happy New Year and thank you for reading along!
