Thanksgiving Sensory Bottle

by Angela Thayer Leave a Comment

thanksgiving sensory bottle

Here is an easy idea for making a Thanksgiving sensory bottle. This idea is a fun way for children to talk about what they are thankful for. For this activity, children will write down what they are thankful for on pieces of paper. Then they will add it to a sensory bottle with colored rice. When you shake the bottle you'll see the different pieces of paper appear. This bottle is great for children who know how to read, but can also be used with younger children. Here's what you need … [Read more...]

I have a fun Halloween sensory bottle to share with you today! This glow-in-the-dark bottle was a huge with my toddler and a fun decoration for Halloween! Fall Sunset Sensory Bottle

by Angela Thayer 2 Comments

We love creating sensory bottles at our home. All three of my boys like playing with them! My toddler (15 months) is the one that plays with them the most. In fact, he prefers to play with them over toys most of the time! I found some red lamp oil in my cupboards and decided to create a sensory bottle with it. In the end it looked like a sunset, so I'm calling it our Fall Sunset Sensory Bottle. Here's what we used in the bottle: Red Lamp Oil (you can also get this at Michael's craft … [Read more...]

Pencil Sensory Bottle

by Angela Thayer Leave a Comment

It's time to share my sensory bottle of the month! This month I'm going with the theme "Back to School". I decided to make a sensory bottle look like a pencil! It was a fun little experiment. :) Our pencil sensory bottle is fun and definitely looks homemade, but that's ok! It's an opportunity for my little ones to engage their sense of sight and touch and it doesn't need to look perfect. It would be fun to have in a classroom or homeschool. My little guy enjoyed looking at … [Read more...]

Slow-Falling Beads Sensory Bottle

by Angela Thayer 27 Comments

Today I'm sharing our sensory bottle of the month, which is our slow-falling beads sensory bottle. I had a hard time figuring out what to name this bottle, but I decided to name it 'slow-falling' because the substance inside makes the beads slowly move around the bottle. This is different than our other sensory bottles and I loved creating this one for my baby to play with! I have to admit that this was not my original idea. I first saw the idea for a suspended bead sensory bottle at Fun … [Read more...]
