Back to School Alphabet Book

by Angela Thayer 2 Comments

How is it already time to go back to school? Summer always flies by!

As children come back to school, start the year off with this Back-to-School Alphabet Book! This free printable could be used as independent work, in a literacy center, a supplemental activity for students who finish an activity early, or sent home to work on at home.

back to school alphabet book

In this packet, there are 26 pages of alphabet activities. Each page contains the following:

  • tracing practice for the uppercase and lowercase letter
  • practice identifying letters
  • tracing a word with the letter’s beginning sound
  • a picture to color

This packet is free to you! Just click on the words below.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that I am a big believer in hands-on learning activities. This packet is great for supplemental learning, but when teaching the alphabet, children need a lot of hands-on activities to learn the letters.

Check out this blog post to find my top 5 of my favorite ways to teach the alphabet.
