Letter ‘V’ Activities

by Angela Thayer Leave a Comment

As Valentine’s Day is approaching, we are studying the letter ‘V’. To start out, I gave Troy an alphabet box.

V Alphabet Box

V Alphabet Box2 For each letter we study, we make the letter for our alphabet book. This time, we cut out little hearts on pink and red paper. We discussed what Valentine’s Day is about and ways we can encourage people. So, we came up with short phrases and words that would be kind to say to someone. Then we wrote them on the hearts and put them in a pattern. For my oldest, patterns are new to him, so we talked about this and then put them in a pattern.

Heart Patterns Then we glued them onto the ‘V’ with the same pattern. We’re still learning how to use glue, so as you can see it got a bit messy.

Letter V Patterns Here’s the final product. All ready to add to our alphabet book!

LetterV Here’s a sweet story. We were playing yesterday and I still hadn’t taken a shower and didn’t look my best. Troy pauses what he’s doing, looks at me and says “You’re really beautiful, mom!” Then he gave me the longest hug…SO sweet! Love that little boy. Have a great day!
