4 Fabulous Christmas Crafts for Kids!

by Angela Thayer Leave a Comment

Christmas is just around the corner, so today I’m sharing 4 easy Christmas crafts for kids (really any age)!

4 Fabulous Christmas Crafts

I’ll give you a quick tutorial on each of these crafts, starting with the wreath. Here’s what you’ll need:

*fuzzy yarn (I got this sparkly green on at Michaels on clearance for $1.99)

*puff balls

*glue (I used a glue gun)

*card stock

I first cut out a circle in a wreath shape with the card stock. Then, I wrapped the yarn around the paper wreath. Make sure you squish the yarn together so you don’t have gaps.

After all the yarn is on, you can glue the end to the back of the wreath. Next, glue on all thePom Poms. Simple, cute little craft! If you are having a little one help, the yarn part may be too hard so you can help them with this.

The second craft is the Pom Pom Christmas tree.  All you do for this is cut out a shape of a Christmas tree on card stock and then glue on Pom Poms. Very easy for little ones to do!

Next is the jingle bell bracelet! Okay, so my son is OBSESSED with the song Jingle Bells. He sings it all the time…he’s even made up his own version. Instead of singing “one-horse open sleigh” he’ll say “on a 4-wheeler today!” So, to add to the song we made some jingle bell bracelets. I made two different versions. Here’s the first one.

Here’s what you’ll need:

*pipe cleaners

*bells

*ribbon

To start, string the bell onto the pipe cleaner. You’ll need to twist the pipe cleaner to keep the bell in place. To do that, bend one end and put the pipe cleaner under the other one.

After you get 4 or 5 bells on, you can finish it two ways: tie little piece of ribbon on or wrap ribbon around the pipe cleaner. Twist the ends together to complete the bracelet.

Lastly, we’ll look at the sparkly snowman. Here’s what you’ll need:

*3 BIG sparkly puff balls (I got mine at Michaels)

*2 twigs (I used fake ones I had and cut them short)

*glitter glue

*googly eyes (optional)

*black felt

*glue

To make the snowman, just glue the 3 puff balls together. Let it dry. Then glue on the twig arms (I used a hot glue gun, but I’m sure other glue would hold.) Cut out a hat with the black felt and glue it on. Lastly, use glitter glue (or anything else that would work) to make the eyes, nose, mouth and buttons. I realize his nose looks a little smashed…my son thought he was dry but he definitely wasn’t!

Well there you have it…4 easy Christmas crafts for kids! Try them out and let me know how they turn out!
