Sight Word Readers for the Word “Can”

by Angela Thayer 3 Comments

Happy Friday! I’m here to share with you my 11th sight word reader set! Today I’m sharing sight word readers for the word “can”.

Sight Word Reader - Can
In this download, there are these 3 booklets:

  • I Can Brush My Teeth
  • I Can See the Monsters
  • I Can Go Camping

Each of these sight word readers focus on the word “can”. They also mostly use words that were learned in previous sight word readers. The child can also use the pictures to help them read the sentences. You may have to help them with words that are not sight words. Encourage your child to sound out words if they can!

Can

You can download the FREE sight word readers here —> Sight Word Reader- can

Print pages 2-13 on paper. (Page 1 is my Terms of Use.) You can also print the pages front and back. If you have troubles printing, make sure Adobe is up to date. You can download the most current version here.

After printing, cut out the pages and staple them together. Enjoy reading!

Check out my bundle pack that includes 22 sight words and 66 printable booklets! Find out more about the bundle here.

These books are a LIFESAVER! I teach a functional life skills for students in grade 1-6 in a school facing many challenges. I have both in-person and virtual learners, and the majority of my students live in Spanish-speaking homes in the lowest socioeconomic area code in my state; it goes without saying it is a challenge to find material I can present to both that is engaging. I create PowerPoints with these books, which I project to my in-person kids and share with my virtual learners. I’m able to insert videos and other materials in the books, which the kids love. The repetition and pictures are great for my special learners, who are able to “read” the books after they have listened to them once or twice. I shared a video of one of my students reading the “red” book to his parent, who cried with joy seeing her son, who has an intellectual disability, read a book. Thank you and bless you for posting these for free! You are a blessing. Happy Thanksgiving!
