Christmas Lights Fingerprint Printable
‘Tis the season to be jolly! Fa la la la la…la la la la!
I love this time of year! The Christmas lights everywhere make me so happy and brings joy during the darker days in winter. I kind of wish we would leave lights up all winter long!
I love handprint projects, but I wanted to do a fingerprint craft with my preschoolers so I came up with this Christmas Lights Fingerprint Printable!

Details About the Project
This Christmas craft would be great for preschoolers or kindergarteners. It’s easy, festive, and makes a cute keepsake!
We made these with our class of preschoolers and they loved it! There are several different design options you can use in the free printable.
I used the 2-page option so we could keep one for the classroom to hang up and send one home. So you have a choice with this printable…you can easy make a full page or make a half-page.

Materials Needed
You just need a few supplies for this activity!
- Washable Paint – I like to use this paint because it washes off their fingers easily
- Card stock paper – Make sure to print on cardstock to make it more durable!
- Free printable – The link for this is at the bottom of this post!
- (optional) Baby wipes – this is just an easy way to wipe their fingers. But you can also just wash their hands in a sink.
Steps to Making the Craft
It’s very simple to make this fingerprint craft!
- Dip the child’s finger in red paint.
- Have them stamp their finger on the wiggly line. Make sure they leave space for another color. With my 3-year-olds, we guided their finger to help with spacing.
- Wipe the finger with a baby wipe.
- Dip the finger into green paint.
- Have them stamp their finger in the open spaces.

That’s it! Then you can let the printable dry for a few hours.
Finished Product
I think it looks so happy and merry!

If you have the 2-page option, you can let it dry and then cut the page in half.
