polar animals printables

You could teach about Arctic animals any time of the year, but winter is great if you live in a colder climate. It helps students connect with the topic more easily!

This polar animal packet has the following activities:

  • polar animals name tracing
  • find the difference
  • puzzles
  • tracing lines
  • counting animals
  • step-by-step drawing
  • penguin number maze
  • count and match

The skills children will work on are the following:

  • visual discrimination
  • memory skills
  • fine motor skills

And more!

One more thing to note. This packet has some activities with penguins. Penguins live below the equator, so they are not Arctic animals. They are considered polar animals though. Just wanted to point that out if you didn’t know that already! That would be a great fact to teach your students.

I love this printable puzzle with arctic animals! It’s also great for learning the alphabet order.

This arctic themed sensory bin was a big hit with my kids! It’s easy to make and a great way to explore ice, too!

Happy Winter!
