Bat Toilet Paper Roll Craft
Are you excited for Halloween crafts? This bat toilet paper roll craft is perfect for preschool and kindergarten students!
This craft is simple and adorable! I think this craft is a great way to recycle toilet paper rolls and turn it into something pretty cute! I like to save toilet paper rolls year round to make sure I have enough for crafts!
Craft Materials Needed
Here’s what you need to make this craft:
- Empty toilet paper roll
- Black construction paper
- White construction paper
- Glue stick or liquid glue
- Scissors
- Googly eyes
- White pencil or crayon
Bat Craft Directions
- Prepare the Toilet Paper Roll:
- Cut a piece of black construction paper to the height and circumference of the toilet paper roll.
- Apply glue to one side of the construction paper and wrap it around the toilet paper roll, securing it in place.
Create the Wings:
- Place your child’s hand on a piece of black construction paper and trace around it with a pencil.
- Repeat for the other hand.
- Cut out the handprints to create the bat’s wings. You can use the full handprint, or cut the thumb section off and use only the finger portion for the wings if desired.
Attach the Wings:
- Apply glue to the base of each handprint (where the wrist would be) and attach them to the back of the toilet paper roll, one on each side.
Add the Eyes:
- Glue two googly eyes to the front of the toilet paper roll, near the top.
Add the Ears:
- Cut two small triangles from black construction paper.
- Glue the triangles to the top of the toilet paper roll to create the bat’s ears.
Create the Fangs:
- Cut two small triangles from white construction paper.
- Glue the triangles below the googly eyes to form the bat’s fangs.
Look how cute it is!
Enjoy displaying your spooky creation for Halloween or the fall season.
