Baby Board Book Hack
Have you ever had a time where your little one picks up a board book and they just can’t turn the pages? I know that’s happened plenty of times to my children and it makes them frustrated!! If this has happened at your house, keep reading because I’ve got an awesome baby book hack to share with you! This tip will make flipping through pages so much easier for your little one.
Here’s what you need for this baby book hack:
- board books
- pom poms
- hot glue gun
Simply glue pom poms onto each page of the book. Don’t place them all on the same spot on each page, but stair step them down the pages.
When your child goes to look at that book, they can easily turn the pages! There’s a gap between the pages for their little hands to turn them, or they can hold the soft pom pom to flip the page. Just make sure to glue them down really well so they can’t pull them off!
While I know it would be time consuming and unnecessary to do this hack to all of your board books, I do think it would be a good idea to do them a few of your child’s favorite books so they can look at them independently. Tell me if you try this hack out! I know your baby or toddler will love it!
Also, we are huge fans of baby board books and our favorite ones come from Usborne books. One of our favorite series are the “That’s Not My…” books. They are touchy-feely books that kids just love! You can browse them all here.
Happy Reading!
I am an early childhood teacher and have 3 granddaughters 3 years 6 months, and another soon to be 4. This is a fabulous idea, and can be used with the very young toddlers and their older siblings. In one instance you are encouraging. reading, self-help skills as well as teaching the older children their colors and how to help,
