Awesome Fine Motor Toy from Lakeshore Learning

by Angela Thayer 1 Comment

I am a blog ambassador for Lakeshore Learning and am compensated for my work. I received product free of charge, but all thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.

Fine motor skills are so important for little ones to develop! Fine motor activities use hand muscles to manipulate small pieces or use small movements to complete tasks. Fine motor activities are great because it helps with better handwriting when it’s time to learn how to write.

I was so excited for my boys to try a fine motor product from Lakeshore Learning! Not only is it fun, but it’s also great for building muscles in the hands and developing fine motor skills. The Create & Design Drill Kit is awesome for the home or in the classroom.

Create & Design Drill Kit

This kit includes…

  • toy drill (needs 2 AA batteries)
  • screwdriver
  • 170 colorful screws
  • 20 design cards
  • drill board

You can choose to create your own design or follow the pattern on a design card. Following the card helps kids with paying attention to details and can help kids see patterns, which are both math skills.

I love that this activity kit also helps kids with hand-eye coordination.

There are 20 different cards to choose from, and they are so cute! Some are symmetrical designs and others are pictures like a house, rocket, and sailboat.

It’s a great feeling to finish a picture!

Of course, you can make other designs on this board, or you can even make words.

The Create & Design Drill Kit would be great for keeping kids busy this summer. This kit will keep kids busy for hours! It would also be awesome for a fine motor center in a classroom.
