Shaving Cream Thank You Notes

Shaving Cream Thank You Notes…those words sure don’t sound like they go together! But believe me because today I’m going to show you a super fun way to write thank you notes using shaving cream. I know writing thank you notes is quite boring for kids (in fact impossible for mine since they can’t even write!), so I came up with a new, non-boring way to create thank you notes!

Here’s what you’ll need:

*Card stock paper

*Stickers to write the words “Thank You”

*Shaving cream

*Cookie Sheet

*Food Coloring

*Some sort of stick and a scraper

*Towel

 

The first step is to put stickers on the card stock to spell “Thank You”.

Next, spray shaving cream on a cookie sheet. Then use a scraper (or whatever you have) to smooth it down. Then, drop food coloring in the shaving cream. Then take a stick (we used the end of a paint brush) and swirl the colors around. Don’t swirl too much, or it won’t look too pretty.

Lay a piece of paper on top of the shaving cream. Gently press down. Make sure the whole page has shaving cream and color on in. Let it sit for a minute. Then wipe it off with a towel. You will have a pretty swirled paper! Then you can peel off the sticker letters.

Oh and don’t forget to play in the shaving cream!! If you have kids like mine, they will love to get messy! Plus this is great sensory play.

Here’s the final product! Add whatever you’d like to the page, such as stickers and words, and send them off!
