If you are working with beginning readers, this Bingo game is a fun and engaging way to identify beginning sounds! This printable activity includes 30 different Bingo cards so that you can use this with a class or in small groups.
How to Play:
1. All the students begin with a bingo mat. The picture cards should be in a bag or container that they cannot see through.
2. Have the teacher or a student pull out a picture card from the container and show the card to the students.
3. Have the students identify the beginning sound, then have them look on their mat to see if they have that picture. If they do, they can place a counter or gem to cover that space.
4. The game continues until one of the students get five spaces covered in a row.
You can laminate the cards for better durability so you can use this game over and over!
