Isn’t it crazy that it’s back to school season?! It’s an exciting time, but I also know it’s an extremely busy time for teachers. This Meet the Teacher printable is here to help save you time so you can focus on all the other tasks on your to-do list!

It’s always nice to give parents a Meet the Teacher printable to share more about yourself and provide information on how to contact you. This printable is editable on Canva, so you can personalize it and use it for the upcoming school year!

Meet the Teacher Printable

I love how this printable turned out! It showcases you, as the teacher, in a fun, vibrant, and organized way. On the printable, there are four sections:

1. Name and Picture
2. About Me
3. Favorites
4. Contact

Each of the sections are editable, so you can change the wording.

How to Use Canva

Since this printable template is on Canva, I wanted to share how easy it is to use Canva. First of all, Canva is free! All you need is an email address to get set up. Here are the steps to sign up.

1. Visit canva.com and select sign up.
2. From the signup page, choose to continue with email.
3. Enter your email address and select continue.
4. Enter your preferred account name.
5. Click create your account.
6. Enter the code that was sent to your email address.
7. Create a password.
8. Click on the link in the PDF (which is below) to make a copy of my printable and start personalizing it!

How to Edit the Printable

Once you set up your Canva account, it’s time to start personalizing the printable! I’ve included two versions of the printable. The first page has all free elements. The second page is similar, but has some premium elements. So if you have a paid Canva account, you can use the second page without the watermark showing up.

There are four sections of printable that you can edit.

Name and Picture

1. Click on uploads and upload a picture of yourself.
2. Drag the picture to the circle.
3. Type your name above the photo.

About Me

1. Type a few sentences about yourself. This will help students and parents get to know you better!
2. You can change the font size if you need more space.

Here is an example About Me section that you can use if you’d like!

Hello! I’m Mrs. Thayer! I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year! The success of my students, academically and social-emotionally is my top priority. I believe working together with families is essential to a child’s success at school. I encourage you to reach out to me for anything you may need to help your child! I can’t wait for a fantastic school year!

My Favorites

1. Share some of your favorite things! This serves two purpose: to help students and parents to get to know you better and to also help with gift ideas!
2. There are five spots on this section where you can list favorites. I listed out five categories, but you can also change this to whatever you’d like.

Contact Me

1. In this space, you can list ways for parents to get a hold of you.
2. This could be an email address, school phone number, website, or something else.

Printing Instructions

After you’ve filled out the printable, follow these steps to print it:

1. Click on share.
2. Click on download.
3. Select PDF standard under the file type.
4. Click on the download button.
5. The PDF should download to your device. After it has downloaded, open it up in Adobe Reader and select print.
