Apple Racing Game – Cooperative Learning Game
Apple season is in full swing and I’ve got a very fun game to share with you today! This Apple Racing Game is a cooperative learning game. That simply means instead of competing with each other to win the game, players work together to win the game. This is such an important skill for young children to work on and this game makes it fun!
The Great Apple Race was inspired by a game we love to play at our house called Hoot Owl Hoot. In this game, you have 3 apple game pieces. The goal of the game is to get the 3 apples to the basket at the end. Players will draw cards and move an apple piece to that color. They can choose whichever apple they want to move and players will work together to decide what the best move is. Just remember the goal is to get all three apples to the end. (And you must draw an orange color at the end to make it to the basket!)
At the top of the game board, there is a crow with boxes. At the end, is an apple basket. When a player draws a card with a crow on it, they move the crow to the next box. If the crow reaches the apple basket before the players get their apples to the end, then the crow wins.
My kids love playing this game. It’s neat to see them work together to win the game! This game is great for practicing colors, problem solving, and working together.

Hope you enjoy this game as much as we did!
my children love this game….I put the sheets and put them in a protective sheet glued them on a leftover cardboard piece and laminated the little cards….played it many times since I printed if off 😀
I like many of your ideas, but have trouble printing many of them. I cant get the game to print. Does it require certain hardware?
The only think you need is something like Adobe Reader, which is a free program to download.
