Week in Review
Did you have a good Fourth? Sorry this post is going out later than normal…we had a busy day yesterday and stayed up pretty late last night! Here’s our week in review…
Our favorite date…
Visiting Nana at work and having a special lunch in the ‘secret alley’! The boys loved running down the brick path and eating a delicious lunch. My favorite sandwich there is the Uncommon Veggie sandwich. It is DELICIOUS!
He did not like the EEG he had last Tuesday. It was good to get done , but it was hard for an almost 2 year old to lay still while they glued the sensors on his head. We should know in a week or two what the results are.
We had fun celebrating the 4th of July!
We went to a parade and sat directly in the sun (it was HOT!) Then went to my parents and had a great afternoon of swimming and playing with family and friends. Troy and I ended the night with fireworks! This was the first year he really got into watching them. It was more fun to watch his reaction to the fireworks than to watch the actual fireworks! Oh to be 3 again…
Here’s the last giveaway of the week. I’ll be giving away another copy of my ebook, The Preschool Journey. (It will be available to buy on MONDAY!!!!)
I love counters! It all started when my husband, Bruce, did Dinosaur Math with our son Ben…Bruce bought the dinos at the dollar store…ever since, my eye is out for cool, cute, unique items to use for counters.
I remember having those bears when I was little and using them for piano practice repetition. My girls and I count any objects we can find throughout the day (in books, when cooking, during play, etc) but don’t have any ‘special counters’.
We use whatever we can get our hands on…. Shells, rocks, marbles, magnets.
We have these bears and my daughter LOVES them!! Would love more!! We use anything and everything to count and play!

We do not have these bears but would love them! Thanks for the chance to win.
We usually use the most common counters like pom-poms, stickers, rocks, marbles etc. We would love to have these bears. I’ve already tried to order them but Amazon doesn’t deliver them to Canada 🙁
I just went and bought a coloured set of counting bears last week! They came with matching coloured cups so we have been colour matching and counting as we put them in each cup.
I have never used counters with my daughter, but she loves counting anything. The other day, she helped me make dough balls for tortillas and counted them over and over.
We have those bears! The boys love them!
