Week in Review
Happy Friday y’all! (Can I say y’all even though I’m from the Midwest?? I’m just going with it cause I like it.)
Here’s what we’ve been up to this week!
The sweetest moment this week…
We came home from a bike ride and I went to go get the boys’ lunch ready. Troy comes into the kitchen and says, “Mama, you have to see Wes!” I look and see he had fallen asleep on the couch sitting up. Troy wanted to give him a kiss.
Troy’s favorite thing this week…
He loved playing t-ball this week! And he’s getting pretty good!
Wesley’s favorite thing this week…
He enjoyed swimming at the splash park! It was so hot this week that he didn’t even want to wear his swim trunks in the pool. I let him do it…some battles are not worth fighting!
My favorite part of the week…
I turned 29!!! My last year in the twenties…sad, but I guess I’m okay with it. My mom said her 30s were her favorite, so I’ll look forward to them! For my birthday, my mother-in-law watched the kids while I got completely spoiled by my mom! We shopped, ate, got pedis, and laughed so much. I felt very blessed! Now the celebrating continues this weekend as my husband and I celebrate 6 years of marriage on Sunday!
Our favorite recipe this week…
This recipe is so easy and tasty! Here’s what you need:
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 10 oz enchilada sauce
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1 can of reduced-fat refrigerated biscuits
- 1 cup of cheese
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Brown the turkey and drain. Pour the sauces in with the turkey. Cut the biscuits into fourths and add to the mixture. Spread in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Add the cheese and cook for 10 more minutes. Let it stand for 5 minutes and enjoy!
