Interactive Spider’s Web
With Halloween coming up, I thought we would try making an interactive spider’s web at home. It was a huge hit! The boys loved the activity, so I thought I would share it with you! Here’s what you’ll need:
*chairs
*rope
*fake spiders (optional)
All you do is take rope and tie it to the rungs on chairs and weave it back and forth between the chairs. Keep it low to the ground. The kids loved crawling under or jumping over the rope. It’s great for working on some gross motor skills, like crawling and jumping. We added some fake spiders to spice it up and make it seem a bit more real.
We dumped all 75 spiders out and I gave the boys 1 minute to pick them up. They had to weave between the rope to get some of them, so it added a little bit of a challenge.
This kept them busy and entertained for quite a while. So, if you happen to have some rope lying around, tie them to chairs and make a fun, interactive web for the kiddos!
You are such a fun mom!
Thanks, Kara! You are a fun mom, too!!
