Merry & Bright Christmas Printable for Lip Balm

by Angela Thayer 3 Comments

I was using my favorite favorite lip balm the other day and I started thinking that it would make a good gift for a teacher, neighbor, or friend. It's a small gift, yet thoughtful and practical! I thought it would look pretty plain just to give them lip balm by itself, so I came up with a little card for it! I thought the yellow lip balm would look so cute as star! I also saw a Rudolph card with red lip balm on Pinterest that would be so cute! You could add ribbon around the card, or put … [Read more...]

Sick Mom Rescue Kit

by Angela Thayer 5 Comments

Last weekend I was so sick with the flu. It hit me hard on Friday night and I was down for the count til Sunday night. Oy! Surprisingly, no one else got the flu, which I was very thankful for! While I was sick, I kept wishing that I had an activity kit ready for my kids to keep them busy on something other than tearing the house apart! Bless my husband's heart for watching the kids, but I'm sure he would have loved a little help. After I got better, I decided to come up with a Sick Mom … [Read more...]

5 Tips to Help Your Kids Drink More Water

by Angela Thayer 11 Comments

I have a confession. My kids don't love water. They drink it, but it is never their first choice. Let me be the first to say that I am not proud of this! In fact, I wish I could go back in time and change this. As toddlers, my kids did like water. But then we introduced watered-down juice. I don't blame them for preferring the sweet taste of juice over water. However, as parents we gave in and offered them more juice or milk than we did water. I noticed a month ago (when I was struggling with … [Read more...]

Quiet Time Boxes

by Angela Thayer 36 Comments

Disclosure: This post contains Amazon affiliate links. Does your child still take a nap? If so, that is awesome! I hope you are blessed with many more days like that. My oldest used to take great naps, but lately he started cutting them out. He just lays in bed   and is very restless or goes to the bathroom 15 times. Nap time wasn't working, so I decided to try something new with him -- Quiet Time Boxes. Since I believe rest time for little ones is so important, I still make him lay in … [Read more...]

5 Ways to Keep Kids Busy in the Car

by Angela Thayer 8 Comments

Riding in the car with little ones can be challenging, especially when you are taking a long trip! We went to the Omaha Zoo on Monday, which is only a two hour trip. To make the trip run smoother, I planned 5 activities to do with them in the car. I would say it was a success and they stayed busy in the car with hardly any whining or crying.  1. Create a race track.  To make this, paint a track with black paint on a box lid. Then paint some yellow lines in the middle of the track. Give … [Read more...]
