Patriotic Tin Can Windsock

by Angela Thayer 5 Comments

Today I'm sharing how to make an adorable tin can windsock! It would be a cute decoration for the 4th of July! First, rinse out a tin can. Then spray paint it blue. At first, I added start stickers before painting it but found it didn't work out as well. So I recommend waiting to add stickers until the paint has dried. by Angela Thayer 2 Comments

Glad you are here for day 3 of my series on upcycled crafts! Today I'm sharing how to upcycle a coffee creamer bottle into bowling pins. I came up with upcycling a candle jar into a coin jar for kids. My oldest loves putting money into his piggy bank. When he finds a penny, he makes sure to … [Read more...]

DIY Key Wind Chime

by Angela Thayer 10 Comments

This week, I'm starting a 5-day series on upcycled crafts for kids. You may already know what upcycled means, but for those of you who don't, it is taking something old and recycling it into something new! Today, I'm sharing with you a perfect summer kids project--making an upcycled key wind chime. This is a very simple project. My 3.5 year old loved it and is so proud of his wind chime hanging in our garden. To start, you'll need 5-10 old keys. I found mine at the hardware store. Some were … [Read more...]
