Colorful Sand Foam

by Angela Thayer 3 Comments

Colorful sand foam is a fun, messy sensory activity. When I first saw this activity here, I knew we had to try it out! Instead of using regular sand, we tried it with colorful craft sand. I loved seeing the colors! Here's what you need for this activity: colorful craft sand shaving cream large container To begin, pour the sand in the container. Then spray shaving cream in. Mix with a spoon until you get the consistency you like. The mixture will be foamy and soft, and will … [Read more...]

Pumpkin Craft for Toddlers (Using Shaving Cream!)

by Angela Thayer 12 Comments

My kids are obsessed with shaving cream. We use our shaving cream bath paint ALL the time. Any time I bring out shaving cream for a project, they are super excited. I was just thinking of a craft idea and experimenting when I came up with this pumpkin craft for toddlers. I thought it turned out so cute and I can't wait to show it to you! Bath Paint with Shaving Cream

Do you ever need an activity to help the day move along a little bit faster? Well this bath paint is a lifesaver! I use this activity when it's too cold out to play or when the kids need a fun play activity to do. We love it! My kiddos absolutely LOVE bath time. It's actually quite ridiculous! They would bathe 3 times a day, if I would let them. Recently, we made some bath paint to add to the bath time fun! It was super easy and the boys had a blast. Here's how you make it: Take shaving … [Read more...]

Shaving Cream Thank You Notes

by Angela Thayer 2 Comments

Shaving Cream Thank You Notes...those words sure don't sound like they go together! But believe me because today I'm going to show you a super fun way to write thank you notes using shaving cream. I know writing thank you notes is quite boring for kids (in fact impossible for mine since they can't even write!), so I came up with a new, non-boring way to create thank you notes! Here's what you'll need: *Card stock paper *Stickers to write the words "Thank You" *Shaving … [Read more...]

Shaving Cream Sensory Play

by Angela Thayer Leave a Comment

We took a break from Halloween crafts to enjoy some fun sensory activities! We made a gel sensory bag. I took aloe vera and hair gel and dumped it in a large freezer bag. I added some food coloring to make it orange and then the kids loved playing with it and squeezing it. Troy practiced writing some letters with it, and Wes just liked the feel of it. Then we played with shaving cream. This was pretty fun! The steps are outlined below in the picture. So simple, and cheap, and fun for … [Read more...]
