Indoor Treasure Hunt Activity for Kids
Looking for a fun way to keep your kids engaged indoors? Try this free Indoor Treasure Hunt for Kids! It’s simple to set up, encourages movement and thinking, and is sure to bring lots of giggles and excitement.
Whether it’s a rainy day or you just need a creative way to burn off energy, this treasure hunt is the perfect activity. Kids will follow a series of playful clues that lead them all around the house until they discover the final “treasure.” (A snack or small toy works great!)

What You’ll Need:
- Printed treasure hunt clue cards (grab them below!)
- Scissors to cut the clues
- A small treasure (a treat, toy, or even a note)
How It Works:
The hunt ends with a surprise treasure and a big celebration!
- Print and cut out the clue cards.
- Hide each clue in its designated spot (for example, clue #2 goes by a window, clue #3 in the dishwasher or sink, and so on).
- Keep the first card and hand it to your child to start the hunt.
- Let the fun begin as your child races around solving rhyming riddles to find the next clue.

Who Is It For?
This activity is perfect for preschool and early elementary-aged kids. The rhyming clues are simple enough for younger children to understand with a little help, but fun for older siblings to enjoy too.
