Friday Favorites

by Angela Thayer Leave a Comment

Happy Friday! Before I started this blog, I had a personal blog where I shared about our daily life. I started it when I was pregnant with my oldest and wrote on it for 4 years! I loved it and enjoyed keeping track of our life and milestones. However, I miss writing on it, so I've decided to start doing a "Friday Favorites" post each week. I'm really doing this because I enjoy writing about our lives and going back and reliving the past. If you're interested in our daily lives, then I hope … [Read more...]

A Day in the Life of Teaching Mama {Winter Edition}

by Angela Thayer 4 Comments

Today's post is a little different. A few months ago, I shared what a day in the life at our house looks like. Many of you asked if I could do this periodically, so today I'm sharing another day of our lives!  I picked a random day to document. It's nothing too exciting but it was fun to reflect on all that we do in just one day! Our day typically starts at 7 am. Since I have a baby who wakes up frequently at night to nurse, I am too tired to get up before the kids! I wake up when … [Read more...]

Reflecting on 2014 and Goals for 2015!

by Angela Thayer Leave a Comment

Happy New Year! I can't believe 2015 is here! What a great year 2014 was. Today, I'd like to share a little reflection on 2014 and some goals for 2015! 2014 was a busy year for us. We welcomed our 3rd boy to our family, which was wonderful, but an adjustment for us all! Blogging definitely was on the back burner after Lincoln arrived. I'm sure you'd all agree that family time is pretty important! :) Here's a look at my top 10 posts of the year! 10. Sensory Balloon Bugs 9. DIY … [Read more...]

End of the Year Wrap Up!

by Angela Thayer 3 Comments

Hello and Happy Friday!! Today will be my last post until the new year! I'll be taking a break from posting activities so I can spend time celebrating the holidays with my family! Since I haven't done a life update in a while, I thought I'd share a few things that we've been up to! Get ready for picture overload! First up...our fall family photos! My friend, Katie, took these beautiful photos of our family. I simply love them! Wesley (age 3) Lincoln (age 3 months) Troy … [Read more...]

A Day in the Life of Teaching Mama

by Angela Thayer 14 Comments

I've had some requests lately to share a "day in the life" post to show what our life with three boys look like. So today, I'm sharing what a full day looks like at our house. It's nothing glamorous and it may not even interest you, but to those who have asked, here it is! I decided to document our whole day on Monday via pictures on my iPhone. Not the best quality, but I always have it with me. Mondays are pretty typical, but a little busy in the morning. I'm sharing our real day and nothing is … [Read more...]

There’s Not Enough Time in a Day…

by Angela Thayer 2 Comments

I don't know about you, but lately I feel like there's not enough time in a day to accomplish it all! Life with a newborn is exhausting. We have a good baby, which is awesome! But nursing every two hours, changing lots of diapers, rocking, soothing, and caring for a newborn is a lot! Add in two busy big boys and it's a recipe for exhaustion. Whew! Lincoln is 5 weeks old. We aren't on a very consistent schedule yet, but thankfully he got his days and nights turned back around. We are so in … [Read more...]

Introducing Our Newest Blessing

by Angela Thayer 18 Comments

Our hearts are filled with joy to introduce the newest blessing to our family. Baby Lincoln entered the world on Friday and our hearts are exploding with love for this sweet little one. I can't even begin to express how thankful and blessed we feel to have a healthy baby boy. God is so good. I always love hearing birth stories, so I thought I would share a little bit about how Lincoln entered the world. My original due date was July 22nd, but after a couple ultrasounds, they decided to … [Read more...]

Thoughts on Turning 30!

by Angela Thayer 30 Comments

Today I've reached a new milestone---I am now 30! I really don't like drawing attention to my birthday, but since turning 30 feels like a big deal, I wanted to blog about it. Now I realize to some of my readers that may seem young. And yes, I know that it is. But it feels weird that I am no longer in my twenties. I completely feel like I'm still 22---but alas, I am now 30. And feel very blessed. I was going through photos and realized how much has happened in my twenties. So just for fun … [Read more...]

Happy Mother’s Day…from a non-supermom!

by Angela Thayer 18 Comments

Hey all! Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there!! Hope you have an extra special day. Today, I am doing something a little bit different on the blog. I am going to show you and prove to you (via pictures) that I am a real-life, messy mom! Some of you may think I have it all together from reading my blog, or that my house is always organized (especially since I just posted this post on our preschool room)...but that is not true. And I want to encourage you today...that if you feel like you … [Read more...]

Our Easter Family Traditions

by Angela Thayer 2 Comments

We strongly focus on the cross the resurrection of Jesus for Easter. We tell our boys over and over that this is the real reason for celebrating Easter. Bunnies and eggs are just for fun. One way we do this is with Resurrection Eggs. It is a simple way and visual representation of what Jesus did for us on the cross. We also love the VeggieTales Easter movie about Easter. We also do commercial traditions, such as dyeing eggs, egg hunts, baskets, etc. Although there are SO many ways to … [Read more...]
