Sight Word Readers for the Word “And”
The word “and” is one of the most popular words used in English text. It’s definitely an important sight word for beginning readers to know how to read. I created sight word readers to help with this! These cute little booklets are great to use at home or in the classroom.
In this download, there are these 3 booklets:
- My Brother and I
- Fruits & Vegetables
- I Love Breakfast!
Each of these sight word readers focus on the word “and”. They also mostly use words that were learned in previous sight word readers. The child can also use the pictures to help them read the sentences. You may have to help them with words that are not sight words. Encourage your child to sound out words if they can!

Print pages 2-10 on paper. (Page 1 is my Terms of Use.) You can also print the pages front and back. If you have troubles printing, make sure Adobe is up to date. You can download the most current version here.
After printing, cut out the pages and staple them together. Enjoy reading!
Thank you so much for the wonderful sight word books. I have downloaded and printed many from your free options. Some of them print exactly as shown while others print with a black square around the pictures. Do you know why this is happening? The pictures are so much nicer without the dark square. I appreciate any help.
I’m sorry! The reason this happens is that you need to update to the most current version of Adobe Reader. You can do that here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/
are these available in black and white? thanks
I’m sorry, but they are not. You can choose to print them in “greyscale”, but I know that’s not the same.
