Hope you had a great 4th of July weekend! Every now and then I like to do a personal post and share updates of our family life. I used to blog all the time (on a different blog) about our family and since I’ve started this site, I have missed sharing life updates. In my last reader’s survey, many of you indicated that you wanted to know more about our family life. I also enjoy reading blogs where I get to know the blogger a bit more personally, so that’s why I’m doing a life update today!
So where to start? The big thing that’s happening this summer is the arrival of our 3rd boy! In fact, I’m typing this post at midnight because baby boy is so very active and won’t let his mama sleep! Just one of the perks of being pregnant 🙂
My due date has been July 22nd the whole time, but after a recent ultrasound, they are saying my due date is now August 1st. So who knows when baby will arrive! I just keep saying the end of July.
The pregnancy has gone well! I was sick until about week 22, so I did loose a lot of weight at the beginning. As you can see, I have gained back the weight! Now I just have heartburn and overall uncomfortableness! The thought of taking care of 3 boys does overwhelm me, but the closer we get to the due date, the more ready I feel. Being pregnant is an amazing gift, but I am ready to meet our son!
So what will happen to the blog once baby arrives? Well, I will be posting less for a little bit, and I do have guest bloggers lined up. And of course I’ll be sharing about baby!
The boys are super excited for his arrival. They helped pick out his name and they have been so awesome at keeping it a secret. However, they did have some interesting name suggestions…like Sonic, Freaky, Percy, Backo, etc.
This summer they have become best buds! I am so glad they have each other. They play all the time together, and of course have disagreements and problems sharing toys. But for the most part, they get along.
But they are also partners in crime…the other week I was cleaning up supper and the boys were playing downstairs. They sounded so happy and I heard lots of laughter. Well, I soon discovered that they found a hole in our old couch from my grandma and thought it would be fun to throw the foam all around the basement. Yeah…mama wasn’t happy about that!
And then last week, my 4-year-old found a googly eye from a craft and snuck it in bed with him during nap time. He was itching his nose and the googly eye dropped into his nose! It was definitely stuck in there and he was a hot mess! My husband took him to the ER to get it out. He learned a hard lesson. You just never know with kids, huh?! And please tell me I’m not the only one who has things like this happen to them!
Have a great week and I’ll be back tomorrow sharing kid activities!
