Outstanding Angela! Spiderman is in charge of protecting the organic garden from crime. And squirrels and rabbits.

Isn’t it amazing what happens when you teach kids about gardening? My earliest memories are from helping my parents in their garden…especially the strawberries. This consciousness will hopefully one day get back into schools so more people can learn where food actually comes from and the difference between a home-grown veggie and a frankenfood.

My wife and I grow a lot of herbs in our kitchen garden near our back door. Nothing can compare to fresh cilantro in home-made salsa. We’d love to see some of your favorite recipes. I hope you and Spiderman have a sensational summer and that you get a bountiful harvest!

Thanks for everything you’re doing to promote gardening Angela.

  2. I love this idea! I’m not a gardener myself, but have been thinking of growing some vegetables with my kids so they can learn! Where did you find the “cart” for your patio garden? It’s so cute and I like it has wheels so we can move it inside the house easily if it gets cold (we live in a city that it could snow in May!) Thanks!

I found it at Lowes! And yes, I love that it has wheels, too!

  3. I’ve been wanting to start gardening with my boys. I have one small pot outside right now with basil. Like you, I admire those who do it well… I’m afraid I’m not that person. 🙁 You’ve inspired me to try again though!
